Quick Start Guide

Get started with MyBayad in just a few minutes. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to begin tracking your debts.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Go to app.mybayad.com
  2. Click "Get Started Free"
  3. Sign up with your Google account or email
  4. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

Step 2: Complete Onboarding

After creating your account, you'll go through a brief onboarding:

  1. Set your name - How you want to be addressed
  2. Choose your mode - Select Calm, Control, or Crisis based on your current state
  3. Optional: Create or join a household - For family collaboration

Step 3: Add Your First Debt

From the dashboard, click the "Add Debt" button and fill in:

  • Debt Name - e.g., "BDO Credit Card" or "GCash Loan"
  • Category - Credit Card, Loan, BNPL, or Utang
  • Current Balance - How much you owe
  • Interest Rate - Monthly or annual rate
  • Minimum Payment - Required monthly payment
  • Due Date - When the payment is due
Tip: You can add debts one at a time or import multiple debts later. Start with your most urgent debt to get going quickly.

Step 4: Explore the Dashboard

Your dashboard shows:

  • Total Debt - Sum of all your debts
  • Next Payment - Upcoming payment amount and due date
  • Gab's Insights - AI-powered suggestions
  • Payment Progress - Visual progress toward debt-free

Step 5: Connect Google Calendar (Optional)

Sync your due dates with Google Calendar so you never miss a payment:

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Integrations
  2. Click "Connect Google Calendar"
  3. Authorize MyBayad to create events
  4. Choose which calendar to use for reminders
